Although I enjoyed watching The Expendables, I feel bad for the movie. Given the cast of the film, it would have been one of the greatest action movies of all time. Here’s what the movie equation would have looked like…
First of all The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is such a beautiful movie. The Set. The Story. The Characters. The actors, particularly, Brad Pitt. He’s beautiful in this movie – the way he looks and his superb acting.
Watched the movie last night at Glorietta 4 with my girlfriend, Picci.
But ever wondered why the title used “curious” to describe the case of Benjamin Button? Why not use “weird” or some other adjective?
So I checked the dictionary and found out that the word “curious” has 3 meanings:
aarchaic: made carefullyb obsolete:abstrusecarchaic: precisely accurate
a: marked by desire to investigate and learnb: marked by inquisitive interest in others’ concerns :nosy
: exciting attention as strange, novel, or unexpected :odd<a curious coincidence>
I only knew of the 2nd meaning until i checked recently. Obviously the movie title intented to use the 3rd meaning. The Strange / Unexpected / Odd Case of Benjamin Button.
